Incident Summary:

09/30/2012: An explosives-laden vehicle detonated near a bus carrying Shia pilgrims coming from Iran in Madain district, Diyala governorate, Iraq. Three people were killed and 11 others were injured in the blast. This was one of 14 related attacks across Iraq on this day. Al-Qaida in Iraq claimed responsibility for the incidents stating that they were a result of the mistreatment of Sunni prisoners by the Shia government.
