Incident Summary:
09/18/2012: An explosive device detonated near a tree in a Bohri neighborhood in Hyderi area, North Nazimabad district, Karachi city, Sindh province, Pakistan. This was one of two related attacks in Bohri on this day. Seven people were killed and 22 others were injured across the two attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, police suspected Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.

Criteria 1

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack. For example, in a typical successful bombing, the bomb detonates and destroys property and/or kills individuals, whereas an unsuccessful bombing is one in which the bomb is discovered and defused or detonates early and kills the perpetrators.
