09/11/2012: Gunmen attacked a Yemeni army checkpoint near Zinjibar, Abyan, Yemen. Two soldiers were killed in the attack. This was one of two attacks on the checkpoint on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
