09/07/2012: Assailants tried to destroy the Sidi al-Lafi shrine in Ar Rajma, Benghazi, Libya. Armed locals engaged the assailants in gunfire, leading to at least three killed and one injured on each side. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Muslim extremists.
