Incident Summary:

08/29/2012: Two assailants opened fire on Abdulloh Awaeche in Raman district, Yala province, Thailand. Awaeche, an assistant village chief in the subdistrict of Jakua, was killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, police officials attributed it to separatists.
