08/23/2012: Assailants opened fire on a police patrol in the Kotki area of Hangu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. At least three police officers were killed in the attack. Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the incident, threatening further attacks in the area.
