Incident Summary:

08/16/2012: An explosive device detonated at a police checkpoint in Garma town, Al Anbar province, Iraq. Three people were wounded in the explosion. This was one of two coordinated attacks; the previous event was intended to draw a crowd, while this second attack targeted first responders. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities attributed it to Al-Qaida in Iraq.
