08/15/2012: Four assailants attacked Staff Sergeant Oscar Clapero, an intelligence agent in Philippine Army's 58th Infantry Battalion, in Miguel town, Surigao del Sur province, Philippines. Sgt. Clapero was killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, a police source suspected the New People's Army (NPA).
