Incident Summary:

08/09/2012: An explosive device detonated under the car of Brigadier Omar Barasheed, a senior security official, in Mukallah city, Hadramawt governorate, Yemen. Barasheed and his bodyguard were killed and Barasheed's son injured in this attack. No group claimed responsibility for this incident; however, officials attributed it to Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
