Incident Summary:

08/03/2012: A suicide bomber targeting Muhammadu Abali, the emir of Fika and chair of the Yobe State Council of Chiefs, detonated explosives on his body outside of a mosque in Potiskum city, Yobe State, Nigeria. Abali was unharmed; however, at least five people, including police officers, were injured in the blast, and the bomber was killed. Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the incident.
