Incident Summary:

08/02/2012: Gunmen opened fire on a police checkpoint in Abu Ghraib city, Al Anbar governorate, Iraq. Four police officers were killed in the attack. This was one of two attacks on the checkpoint; following this attack, the assailants planted three explosive devices targeting first responders. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
