Incident Summary:

08/01/2012: Assailants threw a grenade and opened fire at a police station in Jaar city, Abyan governorate, Yemen. Four police officers were killed and one injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, authorities attributed the attack to Ansar Al-Sharia, a sub-group of Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
