Incident Summary:

07/30/2012: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle near the assistant inspector general of police's office in Sokoto city, Sokoto state, Nigeria. The assailant died in the attack, and at least six people were injured. This was one of two coordinated explosions. Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that Sokoto was targeted because many of its members were imprisoned there.
