07/23/2012: An explosives-laden vehicle targeting a military patrol detonated in a marketplace in Mosul city, Nineveh governorate, Iraq. Three people were killed and six others were injured in the attack. This was one of 41 coordinated attacks across Iraq on this day. Al-Qaida in Iraq claimed responsibility for the incidents and stated that the attacks were a part of their "Breaking the Walls" campaign.
