Incident Summary:

07/19/2012: Assailants planted explosive devices in the car of the Tatarstan leader in Kazan city, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. The mufti, Ildus Faizov, sustained injuries in the blasts. This was one of two related attacks in Kazan on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities suspected that the victim was targeted for his anti-radicalism stance.
