07/16/2012: Assailants threw a grenade at a store near a voter registration site in Timbangan barangay, Maguindanao province, Philippines. One child died and her mother was injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, officials believed that the violence was related to voter registration efforts.
