07/04/2012: An explosive device planted along a road detonated near the motorcade of the district chief in the Barakzai area of the Shahjoy district, Zabul province, Afghanistan. Four police officers sustained injuries in the explosion, but the district chief escaped the attack unharmed. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
