Incident Summary:

05/29/2012: Assailants attacked the convoy of Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, the President of Somalia, in Aelesha town, Lower Shebelle region, Somalia. One Somali soldier was killed and four wounded in the attack; however, the President escaped unharmed. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that they were attacking the head of the enemy.
