Incident Summary:

05/19/2012: Assailants held four Forest Department employees hostage in Markatlola village, Chhattisgarh, India. The assailants also set fire to trucks containing tendu leaves, which were destroyed. The hostages were released the following morning on May 20, 2012. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Maoists.
