04/02/2012: Assailants opened fire on an Afghan National Police (ANP) checkpoint in Panjaw Qala, Helmand province, Afghanistan. Seven people, including one assailant, were killed in the attack, and two others were injured. Three officers were also abducted. The outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
