04/02/2012: Assailants abducted Jeffrey Lim in Salug municipality, Zamboanga del Norte province, Philippines. Lim, the mayor of Salug, was released on November 5, 2012. No group claimed responsibility for this attack; however, sources attributed it to Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).
