03/28/2012: Assailants abducted Abdullah al-Khalid from his private residence in Mansoura neighborhood, Aden city, Adan governorate, Yemen. Al-Khalid, the deputy consul of Saudi Arabia, was released unharmed on March 2, 2015. Al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) claimed responsibility for the kidnapping and demanded the release of prisoners, as well as an undisclosed amount of money.
