02/01/2012: Three police officers were killed and four more were wounded when Maoists detonated a land mine near a construction site in Latehar district, Chetag village, Jharkhand state, India. The Maoists opened fire on the police immediately after the explosion, in which a police jeep was destroyed. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
