Incident Summary:

01/17/2012: Gunmen shot and killed Mukarram Khan Aatif as he was emerging from a mosque in Shabqadar area, Charsadda district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. Aatif was a reporter for Voice of America Pashto. Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that they killed Aatif because of his anti-Taliban reporting.
