12/16/2011: The police station in the 5th district was attacked in Kabul, Kabul, Afghanistan. An unnamed individual threw three grenades at the police station. Following this, there was an exchange of gunfire between the police and the assailant. Nearby homes sustained some damage, but no one was hurt. The perpetrator was able to escape. The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack.
