Incident Summary:

12/14/2011: Local governor, Massoud Khan, was killed along with two of his body guards in the Khanshin district of Helmand, Afghanistan. Three other body guards were also injured when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb. While the Taliban has not officially claimed responsibility for the attack, they have made death threats against Massoud Khan in the past because of his work against the organization.
