Incident Summary:

12/4/2011: A car bomb exploded in Hilla, Babil, Iraq, killing 16 and wounding 45 Shi'ite pilgrims. The pilgrims were part of a procession celebrating Ashura, an important Shi'ite holiday. No claim of responsibility was reported. While no motive for this attack was stated, numerous attacks on Shi'ite's occurred in this region during this holiday.
