11/26/2011: An explosive device detonated on the highway in Abu Ghraib, Baghdad governorate, Iraq. The explosion occurred in the vicinity of a vehicle carrying construction workers looking for work; seven workers were killed and at least seven workers and passer-bys were injured in the explosion. Two of the injured died later in the hospital. No group claimed responsibility and specific motive is unknown. However, sources note that attacks such as these raise concerns about security after U.S. troops withdraw.
