Incident Summary:

11/17/2011: Unidentified assailants fired two rockets at the venue hosting the loya jirga, or grand council, in Kabul city, Kabul province, Afghanistan. In the morning before the beginning of the second day of the loya jirga, two rockets were fired towards the venue; both missed the target. One rocket landed at a hotel near the venue and the second landed several kilometers from the target. One civilian was slightly injured by the second rocket; there were no further reported injuries or damages. No group claimed responsibility for the incident, although the Taliban did claim responsibility for firing two rockets the night previous.
