Incident Summary:

09/06/2011: On Tuesday afternoon, in Sherzad, Nangarhar, Afghanistan, the governor of Sherzad, Asil Khan Khogyani, was killed by a roadside improvised explosive device on his way to work. The bomb was detonated by a remote control when his motorcade was passing by. His three guards were also killed in the explosion. No damages were reported and the Taliban claimed responsibility for the bombing by unknown means.
