Incident Summary:

08/17/2011: On Wednesday morning around 0700, along the Imphal-Moreh route at Chajing near Lilong Bridge in Thoubal, Manipur, India, a patrol party of the 28 Assam Rifles recovered and safely defused an improvised explosive device weighing about 2.5 kilograms. According to police, the explosive device was meant to target the convoy of the Chief Minister and other VIPs that was supposed to pass through. The attack caused no casualties or damages and no group claimed responsibility for the attack.
