Incident Summary:

07/29/2011: On Friday morning around 0800, in the Baluchan area of Nahr-e-Saraj, Helmand, Afghanistan, unidentified militants planted a roadside improvised explosive device, which exploded as a civilian vehicle heading from Nahr-e-Saraj to Lashkar Gah was passing. Eighteen people were killed in the blast and the vehicle was destroyed. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
