Incident Summary:

07/27/2011: On Wednesday, in Koraput, Odisha, India, suspected Communist Party of India - Maoists (CPI-Maoist) planted 25 kilograms of explosives. The explosives were placed in a steel container in a bush apparently targeting security forces. The explosive filled container was found close to the local court and a border security force camp. The explosives did not detonate, and were recovered by security forces. No group claimed responsibility for the attempted bombing, but CPI-Maoist militants are suspected.
