Incident Summary:

07/06/2011: On Wednesday, in Navadih village, Balrampur, Chhattisgarh, India, suspected Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-M) militants opened fire on a security patrol in the village, resulting in no casualties to the security forces. One female militant, identified as Meena Khalko, was shot and killed in retaliatory fire. No group claimed responsibility for the attack, but Police recovered some weapons and Maoist literature from the body of the slain militant.
