Incident Summary:

06/28/2011: On Tuesday night, in Kabul, Afghanistan, nine assailants armed with AK-47 rifles stormed the entrance of the Intercontinental Hotel and detonated their improvised explosive devices, killing all nine of the bombers and causing an unknown amount of property damage. Two police officers and eight civilians were killed and eight others were wounded in the attack. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
