Incident Summary:

06/20/2011: On Monday afternoon, in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India, suspected Communist Party of India-Maoists (CPI-M) abducted three villagers at gunpoint, identified as Poonam Doga, Hemla Gudia and Semal Laxman. Reportedly, the victims were fishing at a pond two kilometers from the Nayapara Relief Camp near the Raipur District Headquarters when they were taken. No casualties were reported and the status of the hostages is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
