Incident Summary:

06/16/2011: On Thursday, in one of four related attacks, at Pankadih village under Imamganj block in Gaya, Bihar, India, around 70 Communist Party of India -Maoists (CPI-M) destroyed two mobile towers using improvised explosive devices. The attack resulted in no casualties and was carried out during a 24 hour shutdown called by the Maoists to protest the arrest of a CPI-M leader identified as Jagdish Master (Jagdish Yadav) in Gaya. Members of the CPI-M distributed leaflets and pamphlets and declared to avenge the arrest of Jagdish.
