06/08/2011: On Wednesday evening, at the Nachou area in Bishenpur, Manipur, India, unidentified militants threw a grenade at the residence of N Ranjit, a Gram Panchayat Pradhan (local level government member). The grenade failed to explode resulting in no casualties or damages. The specific motive for the attack is unknown; however, the attack may have been carried out in connection with monetary demands. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
