06/06/2011: On Monday, in Mogadishu, Banaadir, Somalia, suspected al-Shabaab militants took hostage10 teenagers from the outskirts of the town by unknown means. They were abducted for playing football, which is outlawed by al-Shabaab because it is rooted in Christianity. No casualties were reported and the status of the hostages is unknown. No group claimed responsibility, although al-Shabaab was suspected.
