05/25/2011: On Wednesday, in Damaturu, Yobe, Nigeria, unidentified militants planted an improvised explosive device (IED) in the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission. Nigerian police discovered and defused the IED before it could be detonated. No material damage or casualties were reported and no group claimed responsibility for the attempted bombing.
