05/08/2011: On Sunday night at 2250, in the Shamkhal suburb outside of Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia, an off-duty police captain serving in OMON, a special-purpose police detachment, was shot and killed in the courtyard of his home by unidentified militants. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
