Incident Summary:
04/06/2011: On Wednesday at 0000 midnight, at Leimapokpam Awang Leikai, Imphal West, Manipur, India, unidentified militants lobbed a hand grenade the residential compound of Oinam Inaoba, the son-in-law of Social Welfare and Minor Irrigation Minister, N Loken. A dog was injured in the attack, but no other casualties were reported. The attack caused damage to the windows of an excavator nearby and the walls and ceiling of an outhouse on the property. No group claimed responsibility for this incident.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack. For example, in a typical successful bombing, the bomb detonates and destroys property and/or kills individuals, whereas an unsuccessful bombing is one in which the bomb is discovered and defused or detonates early and kills the perpetrators. Success is not judged in terms of the larger goals of the perpetrators.
