Incident Summary:

03/04/2011: On Friday, in the Akbarpura area near Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, unidentified militants detonated an improvised explosive device in the Jammia mosque located in the premises of Akhwand Panju Baba’s shrine, killing at least 10 people and wounding six others. A timed device weighing 2.5 kilograms was used in the attack. The incident took place when people were distributing food following prayers. The attack caused an unknown amount of property damage and no group claimed responsibility.
