Incident Summary:

02/04/2011: On Friday, in Bijli Nagar near Marhaba Medical Store, Orangi Town sector number four in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, two unidentified armed men, riding a motorcycle, opened fire at Raja Tahir, killing him on the spot. According to police, Tahir was a member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). The motive for the attack is unknown; however, one source reported that police suspected personal enmity might be the reason for the attack and another source reported that the attack was the result of target killing. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
