Incident Summary:

01/04/2011: On Tuesday morning around 1000, in the Bhramarbari village of Daringbadi block in Kandhamal, Odisha, India, six unidentified armed militants shot and killed a trader accused of being a police informer. The victim was identified as Udaynath Sahu. No group claimed responsibility, but it was suspected that Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-M) militants were responsible. Reportedly, the Maoists had warned him twice of dire consequences and Udaynath informed the police about the matter.
