01/04/2011: On Tuesday, on Ranchi-Daltonganj National Highway in Hotwag village in Latehar, Jharkhand, India, unidentified militants planted a 50 kilogram improvised explosive device (IED) under a road. Police defused the IED, causing no casualties or damages. No group claimed responsibility, but it was suspected that Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-M) militants were responsible.
