Incident Summary:

12/19/2010: On Sunday afternoon at 1500, in the Assinovskaya area of Sunzhensky, Ingushetia, Russia, a suspected militant was killed by security forces at a checkpoint when he opened fire on police officers manning the checkpoint. A search of the individual's car afterward revealed a Makarov pistol with a silencer, three mortar rounds, five rounds of ammunition, and two kilograms of Trotil explosives. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
