11/10/2010: On Wednesday, near a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp atop Jhumra hills in an unspecified location in Jharkhand province, India, unidentified militants allegedly poisoned a pond that is used as drinking water for hundreds of CRPF troopers and villagers. The CRPF troops were alerted and were able to divert the attack, resulting in no casualties. The specific motive for the attack is unknown; however, militants had called a boycott panchayat election in Jhumra and its surrounding areas. No group claimed responsibility, but it was suspected that Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-M) militants were responsible.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
