09/16/2010: On Thursday, in Qarlaq, Archi, Kondoz, Afghanistan, an improvised explosive device exploded when it was struck by a vehicle transporting a candidate for the lower house of parliament, injuring his civilian companion and damaging the vehicle. No group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed the Taliban was responsible.
