Incident Summary:

09/12/2010: On Sunday morning, in Lalgarh, Barddhaman, West Bengal, India, a Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) party member was shot and wounded by suspected Communist Party of India-Maoists (CPI-Maoist). The victim was identified as Tarun Banerjee, 35, who was shot in the chest outside his house. Banerjee told the police that he recognized the man who walked up to him outside his house and shot him. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
